DRIPPSTRIPPS RGB Chasing LED Strips + Harness Kit
Ultra-thin, high-density 5V RGB chasing LED strips for custom headlights, fog lights, reflectors, and professional automotive lighting retrofits.
DRIPPSTRIPPS are the raw, uncovered version of the RGB chasing strips used throughout our custom lighting builds. With no bulky silicone tubing surrounding the LEDs, they provide maximum brightness in an extremely compact profile and can be shaped, trimmed, and installed in spaces where larger diffused strips will not fit.
Control colors, chasing animations, brightness, speed, and Music Dancing FX from your phone using the included Bluetooth controller. Each kit also includes an independent 5V harness and a pre-wired RF remote for complete system power.
These are raw retrofit components—not finished or waterproof lighting assemblies. Professional mounting, soldering, insulation, diffusion, weatherproofing, and installation are required.

Cutting and Soldering
Unlike silicone-covered strips, DRIPPSTRIPPS can be customized to extremely precise lengths.
- The strip may be cut between individual LED chips to fit the intended mounting area
- Dedicated soldering points are located at intervals of approximately three pixels
- Wires can be reattached at the available solder pads when creating custom sections or connections
Plan the final strip length, wiring direction, animation direction, and solder-pad location before cutting. Not every cut location provides an immediate solder connection, so the installer must account for the nearest available solder pads.
All cut ends and solder joints must be properly insulated and protected against shorts, heat, vibration, and moisture.
Harness Options
Dual — 2-Port RGB Chasing Harness
Includes two RGB outputs for a standard left-and-right lighting layout.
This configuration is ideal for:
- One strip per headlight
- One strip per fog light
- Left and right bumper reflectors
- Other custom two-strip installations
Quad — 4-Port RGB Chasing Harness
Includes four RGB outputs for larger or multi-level lighting configurations.
This configuration is ideal for:
- Upper and lower strips in both headlights
- Headlight and fog light combinations
- Four-reflector or multi-strip layouts
- Other coordinated four-output installations
The dual and quad harnesses include APP-controlled RGB chasing functionality and Music Dancing FX. Confirm the desired strip direction and connector layout before permanently installing the components.
Chasing LED Strip Options
- No LED Strips — Harness Only: Includes the selected controller and harness configuration without DRIPPSTRIPPS
- 4.5 Inches: Compact length for small accent areas and tight housings
- 6 Inches: Ideal for compact fog lights, reflectors, and small retrofit sections
- 12 Inches: Medium-length option for shorter DRLs and custom accent lighting
- 24 Inches: Universal two-foot length for headlights, fog lights, and larger retrofit designs
- 36 Inches: Universal three-foot length for long DRLs and maximum custom flexibility
The selected strip length applies to each included strip. Strips may be shortened by an experienced installer when required.
Independent 5V Wiring System
DRIPPSTRIPPS operate on 5V power. The complete harness converts the vehicle’s 12V supply to the required 5V output.
Never connect the LED strips, Bluetooth controller outputs, or any component downstream from the step-down converter directly to 12V. Applying 12V will permanently damage the strips.
Do not combine these components with incompatible 12V RGB kits. Only use controllers, extensions, and accessories confirmed to support the same 5V chipset and wiring configuration.
APP Control and Music Dancing FX
Connect to the included Bluetooth controller from your phone to access:
- Custom static RGB colors
- Color-chasing animations
- Preset lighting patterns
- Brightness and animation-speed controls
- Music-reactive lighting effects
The Bluetooth controller contains a built-in microphone. Music must be audible near the controller for the Music Dancing FX to react properly.

Professional Retrofit Installation Required
DRIPPSTRIPPS are intended for experienced DIY retrofitters and professional automotive-lighting installers. The installer is responsible for:
- Opening the selected headlight, fog light, or reflector housing
- Measuring and planning strip placement
- Cutting only at safe locations
- Soldering and insulating custom connections
- Mounting the exposed strips securely
- Providing suitable diffusion when desired
- Protecting the strips from moisture and physical contact
- Routing wiring without pinching or sharp bends
- Bench-testing all strips and animations before sealing
- Properly resealing the completed housing
Always bench-test the complete system before cutting, permanently mounting, or resealing the housing.

Custom lighting laws vary by location. Confirm your local regulations before using animated or non-white exterior lighting on public roads.
Install difficulty varies by kit. Plug-n-play strips and emblems are usually 30–60 minutes. Headlight retrofits are intended for experienced builders or shops; reach out for installer recommendations.
